Sindh Microfinance Bank granted nationwide microfinance banking license

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has issued a nationwide microfinance banking license to Sindh Microfinance Bank Limited, enabling the bank to offer microfinance services across Pakistan from February 10, 2026.

The move is part of broader efforts to strengthen financial stability and widen access to banking services for small entrepreneurs and low-income segments. With the new license, Sindh Microfinance Bank can now extend its operations beyond provincial boundaries.
