ISLAMABAD: The government has announced a reduction in jet fuel and kerosene prices, in contrast to an increase in petrol and diesel rates, reflecting a mixed adjustment in petroleum product pricing.

The price of jet fuel used in commercial aircraft has been reduced by Rs7.76 per litre, bringing it down from Rs396.31 to Rs388.58 per litre. Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has been decreased by Rs4.45 per litre, lowering it from Rs365.21 to Rs360.76 per litre.

However, the government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel. High-speed diesel has been raised by Rs19.39 per litre, taking its price from Rs380.19 to Rs399.58 per litre. Petrol price has also been increased by Rs6.51 per litre, rising from Rs393.35 to Rs399.86 per litre.

In addition, the price of light diesel has been increased by Rs17.03 per litre, moving up from Rs270.51 to Rs287.54 per litre.

The revised fuel prices indicate a selective reduction in aviation and household fuels, while transportation fuels have seen a notable increase.
