ISLAMABAD: The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers in the country has witnessed an increase of 30.87 per cent during the first nine months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to sales of the corresponding months of the last year.
During July-March (2025-26), as many as 1,429,501 motorbikes and three-wheelers were sold against the sale of 1,092,235 units in July-March (2024-25), according to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
The sale of Honda motorcycles surged by 33.43 per cent from 917,598 units to 1,224,260 units, whereas the sale of Suzuki motorcycles also rose by 38.77 per cent from 18,665 units to 25,903 units during the period under review.
The sales of United Auto motorcycles witnessed an increase of 28.85 per cent from 105,591 units to 136,058 units, while the sales of Yamaha motorbikes came down to 1,333 units from 4,059 units, witnessing a decrease of 67.15 per cent.
Meanwhile, the sale of United Auto three-wheelers increased from 856 units to 1,071 units during the period under review, while the sale of Qingqi three-wheelers also increased by 10.21 percent from 8,037 units to 8,858 units.
However, Sazgar three-wheelers sales slipped by 0.46 per cent to 19,437 units from 19,528 units last year.
