Pakistan receives $3.5b in workers’ remittances in April 2026

KARACHI: Pakistan recorded workers’ remittances of $3.5 billion in April 2026, marking an 11.4 percent increase compared to the same month last year, though a 7.6 percent decline was seen compared to March.

Cumulatively, remittances during July–April of fiscal year 2026 reached $33.9 billion, up 8.5 percent from $31.2 billion received in the same period last year, reflecting a steady inflow from overseas Pakistanis.

In April, the largest remittance contributions came from Saudi Arabia (US$841.7 million), the United Arab Emirates (US$734.7 million), the United Kingdom (US$563.7 million), and the United States (US$317.6 million).

The steady flow of remittances continues to play a critical role in supporting Pakistan’s economy and household incomes across the country.
