FBR establishes PRAL’s front desk at LTO Karachi

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established and operationalized a PRAL’s Front Desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), Karachi on June 5, 2026 headed by the dedicated Chief (Inland Revenue Operations).

The desk set up in line with the directives of the Prime Minister and in response to requests from the business community of Karachi, said a news release.

The office, supported by a specialized team from Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd. (PRAL) and equipped with the requisite IT infrastructure, will serve as a dedicated facilitation Centre for the Karachi-based business community, providing on-site technical assistance and ensuring the timely resolution of issues relating to IRIS, e-filing, registration, online tax payments, Sales Tax returns, refunds, and other digital tax services.

This initiative forms part of FBR’s ongoing efforts to enhance taxpayer facilitation, improve service delivery, promote voluntary compliance, and ensure seamless access to digital tax systems.

The establishment of this dedicated facilitation office reflects the Government’s commitment to leveraging technology for a more efficient, transparent, and responsivSe tax administration.
