FBR collects Rs13.6 trillion in taxes during FY2025-26

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue collected a total of Rs13,601 billion in taxes during fiscal year 2025-26, while refunds amounting to Rs597 billion were also paid during the same period.

Speaking to media, the Chairman of FBR said the institution successfully achieved its annual tax collection target of Rs12,983 billion for the fiscal year.

According to official documents, from July 2025 to June 2026, the FBR collected Rs6,645 billion in income tax, Rs4,731 billion in sales tax, Rs840 billion under Federal Excise Duty, and Rs1,385 billion in customs duty.

Data showed that during fiscal year 2024-25, the FBR had collected Rs12,237 billion in taxes, while refunds worth Rs493 billion were paid during that year.

After refund payments, the net tax revenue for FY2024-25 stood at Rs11,745 billion.

According to the documents, the FBR has been assigned a tax collection target of Rs14,264 billion for the new fiscal year 2026-27.
