Pakistan exports items worth Rs 1.04b to India via Wahga Border in Dec 2014

LAHORE: Pakistan exported items worth Rs 1.04 billion to India during December 2014 via Wahga Border Lahore.

According to details, Pakistan exported dried fruits, salt, cement, gypsum, glass, aluminum ores and clothing.

Pakistan exported 11,549 metric tonnes of fruits (H.S code 804-1020) to India worth Rs 543 million. On the other hand, perfumery plants and plant seeds worth Rs 2 million were also exported.

With the advent of winter, Pakistan exported pine nuts worth Rs 1.2 million, while sesamum seed worth Rs 7.6 million, vegetable extracts and saps worth Rs 17 million.

Pakistan exported 3,628 metric tonnes of rock salt worth Rs 10 million while 88,447 metric tonnes of gypsum worth Rs 130 million was also sold to India.

Besides that Pakistan exported cement worth Rs 147 million. Almost 2743 metric tonnes of aluminum ores worth Rs 4.7 million were also exported.

Pakistan exported carbonates worth Rs 69 million and Rs 13 million worth hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydroxide worth Rs 0.91 million, lime stone worth Rs 4.33 million and glass worth Rs 85 million to India.

As a whole, Pakistan exported items worth Rs 1.04 billion. The trade deficit remained Rs 3.62 billion in trading activities of December 2014 with India only via Wahga border Lahore as India sold goods worth Rs 4.66 billion to Pakistan.
