ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Railways and Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to advancing a cashless economy and accelerating digital financial inclusion across the country during a high-level engagement with leadership of JS Bank and Zindigi.
The delegation, led by Mr. Basir Shamsie, President and CEO of JS Bank, alongside Mr. Noman Azhar, Chief Officer of ZINDIGI – JS Bank, and Mr. Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer of ZINDIGI – JS Bank, called on the Minister at the Finance Division to discuss key strategies for expanding digital financial services and supporting the national vision for a digitally empowered economy.
During the meeting, the delegation commended the government’s ongoing policy efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting cashless business models and driving formal financial adoption across sectors.
Emphasizing the strategic importance of public-private partnership, the Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally overseeing the cashless economy process and has achieved significant progress over the year.
Both sides expressed their commitment to continued collaboration in advancing digital financial services, strengthening digital infrastructure and supporting wider adoption of cashless solutions across the country.
