Pakistan Tech Forum, Lahore Chamber sign MoU to promote entrepreneurship

LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and Pakistan Tech Forum (PTF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting technology-driven business growth, entrepreneurship, international market access, investment opportunities and collaboration between Pakistani businesses and global technology ecosystems.

The MoU was signed by LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol and Pakistan Tech Forum Co-Founder Farhan Saleem at the signing ceremony. Mudassir Naeem, Usman Akbar, Hamad Pervaiz, Ayesha Zaman, Co-Founder Pakistan Tech Forum, Imran Rashid and Abdullah Ali were also present.

Under the agreement, both organizations will collaborate to promote business growth, entrepreneurship, foreign investment, trade development and international market expansion opportunities for Pakistani businesses. They will also jointly organize seminars, workshops, conferences, webinars, business forums, networking events and awareness sessions covering areas including company formation, international business expansion, taxation, compliance, legal frameworks, investment opportunities and entrepreneurship development.

Addressing the ceremony, LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol said that Pakistan’s technology sector has enormous potential to contribute to exports, investment, employment generation and sustainable economic growth. He said stronger linkages between the business community and technology ecosystem could help Pakistani enterprises access new markets, adopt modern technologies and compete more effectively in the global economy.

He emphasized the need to create practical opportunities for startups, SMEs and entrepreneurs by connecting them with investors, industry leaders, international markets and relevant institutions. He said the LCCI would continue to support initiatives that facilitate innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-led economic development.

Pakistan Tech Forum Co-Founder Farhan Saleem said that the collaboration with LCCI would provide a valuable platform for connecting the business community with international technology opportunities, global conferences, market-entry avenues and cross-border business and technology partnerships.

The MoU also provides for joint efforts to facilitate connections among entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, investors, industry leaders and other relevant stakeholders. Pakistan Tech Forum will provide guidance and awareness regarding international technology opportunities, global market access, technology conferences, market-entry opportunities and cross-border collaborations.
