ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad on Tuesday announced that Pakistan had launched the process for a US dollar benchmark dual-tranche Eurobond offering with five-year and 10-year tenors, subject to market conditions.

In a statement posted on his official X account, the advisor said the transaction marked another important step in Pakistan’s renewed access to international capital markets, following successive sovereign credit-rating upgrades, stronger macroeconomic fundamentals and improved investor confidence.

He said the proposed offering, covering long five-year and 10-year maturities, reflected Pakistan’s growing engagement with global investors and its efforts to rebuild a sustainable presence in international capital markets.

“Stability ? Confidence ? Global Market Access,” Schehzad said, highlighting the sequence of developments underpinning the country’s return to global financial markets.

The latest move follows Pakistan’s successful return to the international capital market in April 2026, when it raised $500 million through a three-year Eurobond under its Global Medium-Term Note (GMTN) Programme after a four-year gap.

The issuance attracted strong investor demand and was described by the advisor as a sign of renewed confidence in Pakistan’s economic outlook.
