The Punjab Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has developed the digital platform in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board.

Citizens can register online until October 31, 2026, and participate in bidding for their preferred registration numbers without visiting government offices.

The digital platform offers auction facilities for registration numbers of motorcycles, motor cars and commercial vehicles. It also displays information about successful bidders, supporting transparency in the auction process.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the platform uses digital technology to provide citizens with a secure, convenient and transparent way to participate in the auction of vehicle registration numbers.

He said digitising the process has improved efficiency, expedited service delivery and enhanced transparency while making government services more accessible to citizens.

According to PITB, the online system eliminates the need for physical visits and allows users to complete registration remotely through the app or web portal.

The initiative forms part of the Punjab government’s broader digital transformation efforts aimed at modernising public services, improving accessibility and strengthening operational efficiency.
