BERLIN: They have a name for the self-driving car at Mercedes Benz: the “exclusive cocoon.”
“Mankind has been dreaming of autonomous cars since the 1950s,” said Dieter Zetsche, head of Mercedes-Benz. The company unveiled its F 015 Luxury in Motion at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
It’s still a “concept” car, meaning Mercedes has no conception of when it might be in production. But here it is anyway and it looks a lot slicker than this old thing Google is trying to get fans excited about.
