UK, Teen charged with smuggling drugs at Feltham Young Offender Institution

LONDON:  A 19 year old Abdirahman Subeir has appeared in court accused of smuggling drugs at Feltham Young Offender Institution.

Abdirahman Subeir appeared at Feltham Magistrates’ Court charged with one count of conveying a prohibited article into or out of the prison, in Bedfont Road, Feltham.

The 19-year-old, of Swakeleys Road, Uxbridge, brought a quantity of the class B drug cannabis into or out of Feltham YOI on June 20 last year.

He was bailed to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on January 22. He has yet to enter a plea.

In August last year, a teenager admitted passing drugs to a prisoner at the detention centre, which is one of the UK’s most violent prisons according to figures published last year.
