2.5 kanals in Sector F-12 retrieved: CDA continues anti-encroachment drive

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has continued its anti-encroachment drive and carried out an operation in Dhoke Chora in Sector F-12, demolishing five illegally constructed shops, four rooms and four constructed boundary walls despite resistance from some miscreants.

The CDA has retrieved 2.5 kanals of the Authority’s land from illegal occupants.

During another operation along the Kashmir Highway, enforcement directorate along with the staff of Roads Directorate closed illegally constructed approach roads connecting sector G-12 with Kashmir Highway and blocked one kilometre long road by erecting solid iron hurdles and barriers.

Similarly, during another operation, the enforcement directorate demolished one illegally constructed boundary wall on one kanal of CDA land in Muslim Colony, one boundary wall in Noori Bagh, one illegally constructed room adjacent to a government accommodation in sector G-6/1, one room in Katchi Abadi near Aam Saraey, sector G-7/3, one boundary wall constructed illegally on footpath and one illegally constructed boundary wall near Jhangi Syedan Bus Stop. Moreover, during the anti-encroachment operations in markets of sector G-10, I&T Centre and Chanab Market in sector G-7, the enforcement directorate removed encroachments and confiscated four truckloads of encroached material.

Earlier, Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed has directed the enforcement directorate to continue this anti-encroachment operation on daily basis without any fear or favour until complete elimination of encroachments from the city so that Islamabad could further be beautified on modern lines.
