KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR seized 15000 litres of smuggled Irani diesel worth millions of rupees from the National Highway.
According to details, an anti-smuggling team stopped a truck (QAG-1567). The team found that the smugglers were trying to smuggle 15000 litres of Irani diesel.
According to an intelligence officer, the truck was on its way to Khairpur. The authorities concerned impounded the truck and the smuggled diesel. The driver, however, managed to flee from the scene. The Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR had also seized a consignment containing 980 bags of plastic granules weighing 24,000 kg on 4 January.
