Rs 100,000 given to 167 shopkeepers: Sindh, Federal govt to equally compensate Timber Market affectees: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon has said that the Sindh government is taking steps in collaboration with federal government to extend full support and assurance to fully compensate the affectees of Timber Market inferno.
Speaking at cheques distributing ceremony amongst the affectees of Timber Market inferno, at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), he said that 50 percent of the compensation will be granted to the affectees by Sindh government whereas the remaining 50 percent will be provided by the federal government which would surely help in bringing back smiles on the faces of affectees.

Sharjeel Inam Memon handed over a cheque of Rs 100,000 among 167 shopkeepers who were victim of the blaze that had destroyed the timber market on December 28.
