Inland Revenue Lahore seizes record of cosmetic company for tax evasion

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue Lahore confiscated all record of a cosmetic company for investigation allegedly involved in tax evasion for many years, Customs Today learnt on Monday.

Inland Revenue Lahore I&I Additional Director Amir Abbas with his team including Deputy Director Intelligence Saad Waqas, Superintendent Jamshed Yousaf and others conducted a raid on secret information regarding the sales tax evasion of the company here the other day in Lahore. During raid, all record of sales, purchase, cheque books, and computers was taken into custody.

According to primarily investigations, I&I found that Rs 8.7 million electricity bills were paid by a sister concern of this company manufacturing plastic bottles but no tax was paid by it. The team also checked the bank records. According to official, more investigations were being conducted to find tax evasion.
