OH, BLACKBERRY. The tweet was pushed out to promote the newly announced BlackBerry Classic and, ironically, urged customers to adopt the Smartphone for all of their tweeting needs.

The eagle-eyed team over at The Verge were the first to jump on the tweet, which has since been deleted, having spotted that it was accompanied by the message ‘via Twitter for iPhone’.

Despite the company’s claims that the BlackBerry Passport Smartphone trumps the iPhone 6 when it comes to typing speed and accuracy, it appears that BlackBerry hasn’t even managed to convince its own staff.

BlackBerry has yet to comment on the blunder, so it remains to be seen whether it will use the same excuse as Keys, who claimed that she had been the target of an iPhone-wielding hacker who apparently takes over Twitter accounts for the sole purpose of tweeting Drake lyrics.

Keys said: “What the h*ll?!!!! Looks like I’ve been hacked…I like @Drake but that wasn’t my tweet.”

Keys no longer works for the company so, if your dream job is working as a social media intern at BlackBerry, keep an eye on the company’s job listings.
