KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to collect Rs 40 billion revenue in order to overcome shortfall of tax. The Directorate General Broadening of Tax Base has sent a report to the FBR to collect Rs 40 billion to Rs 50 billion revenue from January-June 2015. It was discussed in the report that revenue of Rs 20 billion can be generated from gross under reporting cases. More revenue can be generated by better assessment of audit cases and monitoring of Broadening of Tax Base.
