ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected Rs 87 billion in the first 15 days of 2015 whereas Rs 77 billion were collected during the same period last year. With addition of Rs 87 billion, the total collected revenue by the FBR has reached Rs 1,254 billion, although only 1,109 billion were collected during the same period last year. From last year collection of revenue has increased by 13 percent which is a new record in revenue collection. Higher authorities of FBR believe that the ratio will rise up to 17 percent till the end of year which will be helpful in achieving the revenue targets.
