Pakistan fourth largest exhibitor in Heimtextil fair: 220 textile exporters may get $70 to $80 million orders

ISLAMABAD: Textile exporters said that they are expecting to get orders worth $70 to $80 million from Heimtextil as Pakistani textiles have attracted a warm response on the opening day of the world’s largest home textile event in Germany.

Expressing high hopes, Sohail Pasha, Chairman Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, said that they got a positive response from international buyers on first day of the event.

Heimtextil, being a biggest international trade fair for home textiles and a global benchmark for quality design textiles of innovative functionality, had great importance for Pakistani textile exporters as retailers round the globe visit this fair for new fashion trends and to place their orders for coming spring season, he said.

The world’s renowned departmental stores like Wal-Mart and JC Penney also stock their inventories through this exhibition. Pakistan is a big participant of the Heimtextil for the last many years and has been earning million of dollars precious foreign exchange every year by getting export orders through this event. This year about 220 textile exporters of home textile bed-wear and towel manufactures have displayed their products in the exhibition making Pakistan the fourth largest exhibitor country in the event, he added.
