969MW Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project: C-1 site of power house 100% completed

MUZAFFARABAD: Officials concerned have revealed that around 69 percent work on 969-megawatt Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project has been completed.

The sources said that efforts are being made to accomplish the project during the scheduled year 2016. They said that the third diversion stage at the dam site will be completed by April while the C-1 site of power house had been 100 per cent completed. The first unit of the project will start generating next year. than one hundred and sixty-six billion rupees have so far been spent on the project. Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project will contribute five point one five billion units of cheap electricity to the national grid.
