17 killed, 86 arrested in 2014: Punjab Rangers kill 2 more smugglers at Wagha Border

LAHORE: The Punjab Rangers have killed two smugglers attempting to cross border at Wagha carrying Indian made alcohol. According to the Rangers official, an unusual movement was spotted at border between Pakistan and India when the team took notice. Rangers personnel faced armed resistance when they tried to stop the smugglers. A hot pursuit resulted in the killing of both smugglers on the spot.

The Punjab Rangers have killed 17 smugglers at Wagha Border during 2014 while they were trying to smuggle alcohol from India to Pakistan. According to the Rangers official they had killed 17 smugglers and arrested 86 last year. The Punjab Rangers recovered 573 bottles of alcohol from smugglers last year.
