Board of Revenue Punjab orders computerization of land record within two months

LAHORE: Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab Nadeem Ashraf has directed officers of board to computerize the land record of rural areas of Lahore within two months.

According to Punjab Board of Revenue official, Senior member of Board Nadeem Ashraf and Commissioner Lahore Abdullah Sumbal has strictly directed the land clerics and Revenue Officers to complete the computerization of land record of rural areas of Lahore. They have clearly told the officers and clerics whoever fails to complete the target before time will be terminated from his job.

District settlement officer Lahore Rana Khalid Mahmood summoned 35 Patwaris of rural areas of Lahore and directed them to upgrade the record of land in their respective areas and to computerize this record with in set time to avoid any action of Board. While department has issued a new schedule in this regard, Revenue Officers, ESO officers Tehsildar and settlement officers are directed to visit district office every week to report their performance and progress of their work.

Land record maintain officers of Manawan, Dolon kalan, Dwlu Khurd, Dyosai, Thatar, Lakhuder, Gajumata, Atari, Saroba, Kacha, Dyo khurd, Handu, Mnahala, KMhurd Kalan, Raiwand, Chlkay are directed to complete their record of 35 rural Divisions of Lahore.

In another Circular, issued by Punjab Board of Revenue Ptwaris and Nambardars are directed to keep check on suspicious activities in their respective areas. Revenue Officers will have to meet assistant commissioner and Police Officers of their areas to keep check on their areas and to have collaboration with departments. According to circular they are directed to meet police officers at least once in fifteen days.

Reports of the areas formed by the Revenue Officers will be sent to District Coordination Officers. DCO will send detailed report in this record to Punjab Revenue Board.

Secretary Revenue Punjab Roy Tahir has issued a circular to the Tehsil Revenue Officers and Assistant Commissioners to keep check on suspicious activities in their areas. Circular also informed the officials to have an eye on illegal use of loud speakers; terrorism activates and hates speeches in Mosques.
