KARACHI: K-Electric has earned yet another Corporate Social Responsibility Business Excellence Award for the third consecutive year at the seventh International CSR summit.

The event was organized by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) in collaboration with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).

The award marked the recognition of organizations that have made outstanding contributions for a sustainable future through CSR initiatives; making continuous strides in incorporating the best environmental, social and governance practices into their corporate culture to preserve and have a positive impact on their surroundings. The award to KE is an acknowledgement for its on-going commitment towards the community at large, especially in the areas of health and youth development.

Commenting on the occasion, KE’s spokesperson said, “As a corporate entity, we believe that it is our responsibility to remain committed in our efforts in supporting communities. We are determined to initiate activities that can benefit the masses through sustainable platforms helping them grow economically.” The jury for award selection comprised of CSR experts and prominent personalities from the corporate and social sectors, where more than 87companies and organizations had submitted their nominations. However, the KE was one of the finalists selected by a judges’ panel, ranking the best in the ‘Social Impact’ category.
