ISLAMABAD: The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has warned to the national aviation authorities and aircraft operators to exercise “extreme caution” while flying in Pakistani airspace.
EASA – a European Union (EU) regulatory body working in the field of civilian aviation safety – issued a notice on its website stating that the “potential” of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has led to an increased risk for airlines.
The body’s warning was based on the Directorate General for Civil Aviation (France) issuing a notice recommending that French operators should not fly below 24,000 feet inside Pakistani territory.
