ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has decided to train health activists from the capital, especially from the slum areas of city.
To implement the project, the CDA held a meeting with Islamabad-based non-governmental organisations here on Wednesday to develop a public-private partnership to provide health services through activists from within the community. CDA Director Health Services Dr Hasan Orooj said the project aims to provide quality health care to residents, especially those in areas highly-vulnerable to diseases.
Meanwhile, CDA Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed told under-training course at CDA Headquarters that the authority has started development work on sectors which remained ignored during the previous regimes. He added ignoring of these sectors has not only caused shortage of housing units but also price hikes in real estate sector.
