ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal has said that construction of parking plazas in the federal capital is the dire need of the time to cope with the fast growing parking issue in the city.
He said this while chairing a meeting convened at CDA Headquarters to review progress of ongoing construction work at parking plazas in Markaz F-7. Member Engineering Shahid Sohail, Parking Plaza project director and concerned officers of Engineering Wing were also present there.
CDA Chairman Maroof Fazal was apprised that construction work on parking plazas is on full swing. He was informed that 65 percent construction work of parking plaza situated on the Southern side of Markaz F-7 has been completed while construction work on parking plaza on Northern side of Markaz F-7 has started.
Maroof Afzal expressed his satisfaction over the ongoing construction work on parking plazas and directed the Project Director to ensure supervision of construction work personally and submit the daily progress report about the work. He directed to focus on quality and standard during the ongoing construction work at parking plazas as per design. He directed to ensure completion of the project within stipulated time so that the commuters could be facilitated.
