LCCI signs MoU with Taiwanese trade council

LAHORE: Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) according to which both trade bodies would work together for increase in private sector investments.

According to MoU, the both sides would take steps to exchange information available from either or both countries regarding trade, market and economy and to circulate it to the businessmen of both sides.

Furthermore, LCCI and TAITRA would assist each other in trade exhibitions, fairs and similar events promoting the products of their countries; sponsor and promote the frequent visits of trade and industrial missions between the two contracting parties to extend joint-venture; organise meetings and seminars to inform businessmen about possibilities of investment, joint ventures and advantageous trade opportunities for both countries.

Both the organizations would also undertake together sector specific market studies for the business community in the two countries.
