KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait General Department for Drugs Control and police seized 30 kilos of hashish, 11 sachets of heroin and nabbed one Kuwaiti and four Asian smugglers in different operations here the other day.
General Department for Drugs Control clutched Kuwaiti smuggler with the 30kg hashish. The arrest came following a tip-off from a police agent. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the Ahmadi police have arrested four Asians for possessing 11 sachets of heroin. The suspects were taken in custody in Mangaf. Sources said the suspects were driving late night in the area and when a police patrol ordered the man behind the wheel to pull over, he appeared confused. Police then searched him and the three occupants of the car and seized the drugs. The drugs and the suspects have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control
