LAHORE: Excise and Taxation Department is establishing facilitation centers for citizens in all Excise offices of Punjab. According to Additional Director Excise and Taxation Masood ul Haq, Secretary Excise Ali Tahir has directed during meeting at Shadman Directorate to form Facilitation centers in all regional offices of Punjab to facilitate citizens regarding tax payments issues.
It was decided during meeting that department will take necessary steps to receive Token tax in Excise offices instead of Post Offices. For this purpose Excise Department is going to start new projects of public guideline and awareness. New Facilitation centers will be established in this regard to guide the public about Taxes.
Secretary Excise also directed officers to detect new property tax units (new housing schemes) in posh areas of Punjab as new tax payers can increase revenue of department. Secretary specially advised the officers of posh areas of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan and Sialkot to detect new Tax payers in their respective areas to increase the revenue.
Director General Excise Ahmad Aziz Tarar, Additional Director Masood ul Haq, Deputy Secretary Rizwan Sherwani, Deputy Secretary Imran Aslam, Former Director Region B Ashraf Gondal and Additional Secretary Admin Irfan Yosuf were present in the meeting.
