NEW YORK: Fans can own the fastest Tesla Model S P85D for about $120,000. It’s a dual-motor electric car that goes from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, and makes everything else look sad and slow.

Enter the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The Hellcat is classic Hemi V8 power with 707 horsepower and a whole lot of America.

When the P85D and the Hellcat met on a track, one of them set a 1/4 mile world record while the other smoked and turned sideways.

Yes, the Tesla did an 11.6 second quarter mile at 114.6 MPH, while the Hellcat did its impression of a Kia Forte.

The future is very, very fast.
