“We’re bringing free WiFi to our stations to make it even more convenient to take GO Transit,” president of Metrolinx Bruce McCuaig said in a statement. “We’re committed to giving customers the tools they need to stay in the know.”

The expansion of GO’s network follows the launch of a 2013 pilot program that saw the rollout of WiFi access at 14 stations. The remaining 31 stations and terminals are expected to be connected to the GO network later this year.

The free WiFi is provided through a partnership with GO’s advertising partner IMA Outdoor. To connect to the Internet, commuters join the network “Free WiFi at GO.”
