ACAAP, PIFFA and PSAA to sign MoU to establish joint database

KARACHI: The three associations of service providers including Air Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan (ACAAP), Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA) and Pakistan Ship’s Agents Association (PSAA) have decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in order to establish a joint database in which the defaulters of freight payment would be identified.

The MoU signing ceremony is to be scheduled on Friday, May 30 at Beach Luxury Hotel in the evening.

A meeting of the officials concerned of those three associations was held in which it was decided that precautionary steps would also be taken by the members of all these associations in order to pressurize the defaulters to clear outstanding payments against any of the associations’ members.

It was also decided that each association will develop its own Standards of Procedures and after due diligence at their own end once it is established that complaint of its member is correct, they will inform the other associations for necessary action.
