Advocate Shahab Sarki heaps praises on NAB IW2 Director Hafeez Siddiqui over Fazaia scam

KARACHI: Renowned lawyer Shahab Sarki has said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi, under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal, Director-General Najaf Mirza, IW2 Director Hafeez Siddiqui and Deputy Director Salahuddin Mughal, is using all possible resources to help affectees of the Fazaia Housing Society.

In a letter, Advocate Shahab Sarki said that when the scam of the Fazaia Housing Society was highlighted by the national media, he was shocked and lost hope for recovery of his looted amount. At last, he said, he decided to approach the National Accountability Bureau for the redress of his grievances.

Advocate Shahab said that when he reached the NAB office, even the security guard received him with open arms. Their act put a positive impact on his mind, and for a while he wondered if had reached some other country’s office. Director Hafeez Siddiqui and Deputy Director Salahuddin Mughal extended full support to him and within a week he received a cheque for his looted amount without any deduction.

He said the NAB was our national asset and also a role model for other national institutions. He prayed Almighty Allah shower His blessings on the entire team of the NAB which had handled his case in a professional manner.

Earlier, renowned businessman, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig expressed his complete confidence in the NAB. After receiving a cheque for his looted amount, he expressed gratitude to Deputy Director Hafeez Siddiqui and Deputy Director Salahuddin Mughal for their tireless efforts for recovery of his amount. He said the NAB was determined to rooting out corruption from the country and the way it had handled the Fazaia Housing Society case was an example for others.

He prayed Almighty Allah shower His blessing upon Director Hafeez Siddiqui and Deputy Director Salahuddin Mughal for providing timely help and assistance to the victims.” The NAB is a ray of hope for victims of frauds,” he added.
