Apple iPhone wins ‘phone of the awards’

LONDON: Apple’s iPhone wins phone of the year award and gadget of the year by Pocket lint technology and gadget site.

This was the 11th year of the awards, and the first time iPhone had picked up the best phone gong, beating the HTC One (M8) to the prize.

The panel of industry expert judges, technology journalists and the public are voted by pocket lint technology site.

Chief Executive and Founder of Pocket-lint Stuart Miles said that it’s really good to see the panel of industry, judges and public pull together to let consumers know the best gadgets of the year.

Apple had wins two more awards last night when the iPad Air 2 picked up the tablet of the year gong, and the MacBook Air won best laptop, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was named phablet of the year.
