Both plans, a systems approach (ES) and a Quarantine Cold Treatment in Source (TFO), develop the procedures and criteria that need to be implemented to standardize the application of phytosanitary measures and certification to prevent the introduction of quarantine pests to Mexico and facilitate the trade of those products.

The Mexican delegation was receptive to carry out the changes, which will allow lowering the risks, costs, and delays in exports to Mexico by treating the fruit at source, by incorporating the annexes proposed by the Senasa to the work plans.

During the visit, officials of Senasa and Senasica got together at the headquarters of the Senasa with representatives of the export sector to discuss the close of this export season. They also visited potential centers of quarantine cold treatment in origin and transfer sites in the jurisdiction of the Northern Patagonia and Metropolitan regional centers of the health agency.
