Gujranwala: ACE forwards list of 155 corrupt govt officials for suspension

SIALKOT: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has recommended early suspension of as many as 10 corrupt senior gazetted officers and 145 other employees of different government departments in Gujranwala Division’s all the six districts – Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin , Hafizabad and Gujranwala. The ACE has already sent the recommendation letters to the heads of these departments.

According to senior ACE officials, they have also got registered corruption and fraud cases against the above-mentioned accused officials and employees after fighting a long legal battle against them. These corrupt officials belong to the revenue, education, health, police and local bodies departments, and they were fully backed by the local political representatives.

ACE senior officials added that though the ACE had registered separate cases against them, the corrupt officials and employees were still working at their posts in different government departments, using their complete political influence to quash the cases registered against them by the Anti-Corruption Establishment.

They added that under the ACE Rules 10, the establishment has sent the recommendatory letters along with the copies of their FIRs to the heads of the departments concerned for early suspension of these corrupt officials and employees and their removal from posts on which they are currently working.
