ASO seizes non-custom paid cloth worth Rs15m from Karim Block

LAHORE: Anti-Smuggling Organization Model Customs Collectorate  Lahore Preventive seized Rs 15 million illegal foreign originated ladies and gents cloth on Thursday.

Sources said that on information of Collector of Customs Preventive Lahore Mukarram Jah Ansari Superintendent ASO Mumtaz Ajmal Mian along with anti-smuggling scouts raided a godown at Karim Block market of Allama Iqbal Town Lahore and seized 20 tons of non-customs paid cloths.

The sources said that following the godown’s owner was served search warrants the ASO team after its full satisfaction seized the godown. The ASO team carried the non-custom paid cloth to the Customs State Warehouse after loading it in four mazdas and two pick-up cars.

It was said that the cloth belonged to Darwaish Khan who produced documents against the cloth but failed to satisfy the ASO team.
