MULTAN: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO), in an operation, seized six sacks of Indian cloth from the office of Haneef Cargo Service, Multan.
The smuggled cloth was booked for some other city from the office of Haneef Cargo Service. On a tip off, the ASO team took action and seized the smuggled cloth.
Inspectors Saleem Khan and Ghulam Asghar raided the cargo office and seized the cloth. Customs officials have started investigation against the owner of the cloth. Haneef Cargo Service is also unaware of the identity of the person who came to book the consignment. The worth of Indian cloth is Rs 0.5 million.
An FIR has been registered against the unidentified person and further investigation is under process.
