SYDNEY: Australian stocks rose a little on Friday as the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 9.8 points, or 0.18 percent, at 5378.6 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index rose 9.7 points, or 0.18 percent, to 5355.1 points.
Supermarket giant Woolworths was firmer up 1 percent while Wesfarmers was up 1.2 percent, however both the mining and energy sectors were down.
