KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) allowed the Bahria Town administration to restart construction work on a flyover and underpass in Karachi’s Clifton area.
Previously, SHC had issued a stay order on construction of these projects on the pretext of environmental concerns. The Construction Manager Abdul Latif has welcomed the decision by court and said laborers have already resumed their work in different sections and they will work day and night to complete the projects.
In court Bahria Town administration maintains that the construction of the flyover and underpasses will bring civic infrastructure in Karachi at par with world standards, adding that the projects will provide relief to commuters.
