MUMBAI – India has been allowed to resume the exports of mangoes to the European countries and the growers have improved pest controls.
Six months ago, shipments from India were suspended after some consignments were found to be infested with fruit flies. But Indian mango exporters have been fighting the ban, arguing that additional pest-control procedures have been put in place.
