BRUSSEL: In Belgium, demand for Recruitment, search & selection services is on the rise, as revenue in the third quarter grew by 20.6%, according to Federgon, the national federation of HR service providers.

Employers are aware that they need professional partners to recruit the right talent, and they are ready to invest in doing so.

“The economy is doing well, and we are seeing that companies have confidence again and are ready to commit to hiring permanent staff,” said Ann Cattelain, coordinator of Recruitment, Search & Selection at Federgon. “For their part, candidates are also ready to change jobs again, and both companies and candidates trust professional partners in this context.” “Economic growth is followed by job creation, mainly in the private sector, while vacancies are also increasing: there were over 132,000 unfilled jobs on average in 2017, candidate shortages will therefore be one of the great challenges of tomorrow” adds Bart Buysse, Executive Director of Federation of Enterprises in Belgium.

“With their expertise, selection offices can help employers find the people they need, and a policy of activation and reorientation is absolutely essential.”
