BAKU: In an operation carried out by State Border Service (SBS), a large amount of drugs weighing 11kg in total have been confiscated while going from Iran to Azerbaijan.
As a result of preventive measures conducted in Bilesuvar-Jalilabad part of Baku-Astara highway on Lankaran residents’ 44-year-old Huseynov Fuad Ismayil oghlu and 36-year-old Bagirov Ilgar Gurban oghlu were detained while smuggling 10 kg of opium and 1 kg of heroin.
The investigation is underway on the fact.
