BlackBerry extends buy-back offer from Classic to all smartphones with benefits worth Rs 4,500

MUMBAI: BlackBerry extended the buy-back offer on its BlackBerry Classic Smartphone to all BlackBerry smartphones. At the time of launch, only BlackBerry Bold users were eligible for the buy-back offer with benefits worth Rs 4,500.

As a result of this development, one can exchange Blackberry Bold 4 9900 and Blackberry Bold 5 9790 to get Rs 4,500 off on the BlackBerry Classic; Blackberry Bold 1 9000, Bold 2 9700 and Bold 3 9780 to get Rs 2,500 off; and for any other model buyback value will be Rs 2,000 on Snapdeal. The change was first reported by teleanalysis.

Apart from the buyback offer, Snapdeal is offering first 1000 BlackBerry Classic customers Yatra.com vouchers worth Rs 10,000. BlackBerry Classic is priced at Rs 31,990 and looks quite similar to the BlackBerry Bold 9900. It has a QWERTY keyboard with optical trackpad. It has a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 720×720 pixels resolution and the display has also Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The handset has BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and will have features like BlackBerry Assistant for voice commands and BlackBerry Hub to manage all your communications in one place.

It runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. There is an expandable storage slot that can accommodate a micro SD card of up to 128 GB.

The BlackBerry Classic is fitted with a 2515 mAh battery that claims to offer 17.2 hours of 2G talktime (11.7 hours on 3G). This 3G Smartphone has a nano SIM slot (single), Bluetooth 4.0 LE version, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Miracast, DLNA, FM radio, and a host of sensors – Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient light, and Hall sensor.
