CAA launches website to give updated information to passengers

ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has launched a new website at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).

This step has been taken to provide better information to passengers at the airport. It will provide updated flight information, weather reports and position of the access roads leading to the airport.

Air Marshal (r) Muhammad Yousaf, director general of Civil Aviation Authority, inaugurated the new website. On the occasion, he said that new website of BBIA would be an authentic source of flight information and all other facilities and functions of allied government agencies. This information will be definitely helpful for passengers and their near and dear ones to save their precious time and avoid inconvenience of waiting for a long time. He said that users will be encouraged to send their feedback and comments that would help improve the website further. On the occasion, the CAA additional director IT highlighted the salient features of the website.

In his address, Muhammad Ayaz Jadoon, airport manager, Islamabad, said that the management is endeavoring to make BBIA a passenger friendly airport.

Access to the new revamped website would be available through its beta release of the homepage. Direct access to new BBIA website would be made available through http://bbiap.caapakiastan.com.pk within two weeks. The airport manager along with sectional heads, COO and Aadditional director IT were present on the occasion.
