Quetta: Directorate Customs Intelligence Quetta raided MCC Customs House Chaman and registered case against Customs Staff for being allegedly involved in bogus exports.
According to a source, Custom House Chaman was reportedly involved in bogus exports of cement, steel products, electronics and other goods to Afghanistan.
As per details, Customs staff stamped Papers for vehicles exports which were supposedly not exported to Afghanistan.
The term used for fake export in Customs was “Paper Exports” which has been causing billion of rupees loss to national exchequer. It is feared that many senior officers of Chaman and Quetta customs house in past were too allegedly involved in the paper export.
It was learned that Collector Quetta took immediate action on tip of some informer and transferred AC Chaman Mohbat Khan Mandokhel and Superintendent Abdul Hadi to customs house Quetta giving charge of AC Chaman to Superintendent Shahid Khan. Collector Quetta issued a show-cause notice to Deputy Collector Preventive Ihsan Ullah Shah asking him about the bogus export at Sheela Bagh check post which comes under his jurisdiction.
Collectorate Quetta has formed an inquiry team which started investigations into the matter.
