SHANGHAI: Chinese stocks were up slightly in morning trade on Wednesday, as financial stocks rebounded on expectations the central bank will further ease economic policy, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.27 per cent, or 8.69 points, to 3,243.99.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged up 0.10 per cent, or 1.41 points, to 1,453.78.
