Over 100 business leaders from China and Africa have attended the China-Africa Entrepreneurs Forum in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. Cooperation has been a focus of the forum.

The forum saw the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding; one on Integrated Infrastructure Development Co-operation and the other on Financial Services for the Lamu Power Project.

“This forum shows that the financial sector gives strong support to industry and production capacity. Now the Chinese central government has put Kenya into the list of countries for industrial cooperation. After this, a number of entrepreneurs will come to Kenya, and more importantly they will come with plenty of financiers, which is quite meaningful to the China-Kenya cooperation, as well as the cooperation between China and Africa,” said Dr. Liu Xianfa, Chinese ambassador to Kenya.

The forum introduced Chinese companies to the Kenyan government and private companies. They also shared experiences and opportunities in developing their businesses.

The forum consists of two main sessions; the Nairobi session was the second, while the first one was held in Johannesburg on July 16.
